Roles of the Senate and House of Representatives The US Congress consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives. In other words, the United States is dualistic. The US Congress was established under Article 1 (1) of the Constitution. This was adopted at the constitutional establishment meeting on September 17, 1787. The Senate consists of a total of 100 members, two in each state, elected for a term of six years. Senators were originally elected by the Legislature.

The role of the Senate was conceived by the founder's father and was the inspection of the elected House of Representatives. Therefore, regardless of size or population, each state is the same. In addition, before the Constitutional amendment Article 17 (1913), the Senate election was an indirect election in the Legislature. They are currently elected directly by each state voter. According to the provision of "Proposal and consent" of the Constitution (Article 2, Paragraph 2), the Senate has acquired important authority. Ministers, Ambassadors and Supreme Court Judge. The Senate also ruled that impeachment procedures started in the House of Representatives, two-thirds majority are necessary for conviction.

The constitutional amendment is a laborious task. It must be proposed by a two-thirds majority vote in Parliament, the House of Representatives and the Senate, or by a Constitutional Meeting requested by two-thirds of the State Council. The Constitutional Council did not make any recommendation

Congress is authorized to remove President, Federal judges and other federal officials. The House and the Senate will play a part in this process. The House of Representatives must first vote for "offend" officials. Then a trial will be held to decide whether to dismiss civil servants in the Senate. The two presidents were impeached by the House of Representatives (Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton), but none of them were fired after the Senate trial.
