The role of Panfilo in Decameron is dedicated to love. He believes that love will conquer everyone. In this respect, he is the opposite of the person who defeated by Filostrato, love. They have even the opposite name (panFILO, FILOstrato). With his whole story, he fought against some powerful enemies. In his first story, love for God overcomes the gulls of Burgundy. They prayed for the utterly evil in life, of course for hell, but in any case God answered their prayers for the purity of their faith.
In Decameron, ten storytellers, Pampinea, Filomena, Neifile, Filostrato, Fiammetta, Elissa, Dioneo, Lauretta, Emilia, Panfilo talk about hundreds of stories. Coincidentally, ten people met in the church, they almost said their prayers in the circle. They started talking about various problems and aspects of their lives. After some discussion, they left the church together and were very satisfied with each other's company. The idea was proposed to pick the queen or king at night, and each story teller tells stories about the ten days of the story. However, the first story is a story everyone must tell themselves of their chosen theme. That's why this book started
Decameron's archeology plays a big role and may point to a larger subject in the text. One tenth is important because it appears on the title (talk for 10 days), the number of members in Burigata, and the number of talks each day. The year when Florence was destroyed by plague was 1348 years. The first number and last number total up to 9, the middle two numbers total up to 7. There are three men and seven women in Brigalta. Women are 18 to 27 years old, both of which are multiples of 3 times. Seven women are further divided into three groups (theological virtues) and four groups (the main virtues). This division is caused by people bringing maids and those who do not have maids (each major virtue and theological virtue). Three theological virtues dominate these stories on days 3, 6, and 9.
