The Righteous Conscience: an Interpretive Twist on “William Wilson”

The power of the mind seems to be infinite. It is important to understand that the formation of completely different entities in the individual's mind which has already become obscured becomes less noticeable. The subsequent battle between William Wilson and "Second William Wilson" is simply the conflict between the two most basic elements of their own intelligence - the inner self of human recognition and kindness. Conscience is a universal concept. The doctor said that most people know their own conscience.

Have you ever thought that your conscience is an independent existence of physical condition? Okay, Edgar Allen Poe explains what might happen to William Wilson. Who is William Wilson? The narrator has the same name as William Wilson, what is the possibility of the same appearance as the same birth date? William Wilson is the conscience of the narrator? When William Wilson was introduced in the story, the narrator did not like his existence. The narrator was confused and William Wilson entered the school on his precise day. At this point, he also discovered that their names are the same. The point of this story is that the narrator pointed out as follows. I believe this sentence provides very strong evidence that William Wilson is the conscience of the speaker. The narrator began to notice that William Wilson was smart and should listen to William's advice. He acknowledged William's proposal and hoped he heard a whisper. Another point I caught my attention was that the narrator's classmates seemed to have not noticed William Wilson. "... this similarity has never been a subject of comment, nor is it observed from classmates" (15). When he said, "... ... a fake, obviously noticed by myself" (16). These quotes highlight how William Wilson was seen only by narrators and the like. This does not mean that he must be his conscience. Another controversial analysis is that William Wilson is the illusion created by the speaker.
