The Rich Man and Lazarus; Luke 16:19-31

In the first three Gospels, Jesus used a short story to explain and teach the truth called a metaphor. Metaphor is a simple ground story with the meaning of heaven. In Matthew 8:10, the disciples asked Jesus, "Why do you speak to them with a metaphor in a spoken word?" Jesus replied, "You are the mystery of the heavenly country There is a lot of discussion about the meaning of these metaphors since ministers and religious leaders continue to spread the word of God.

The parable of rich and Lazarus is in Luke 16: 19-31. In this fable, a rich man who refused to refuse food, Divers Lazarus noticed himself in hell when he died and saw Lazarus (in sight) in heaven. His request for water was rejected as he did not share what he was with life with other people. What Foster mentioned about the stone wall means that the rich he knows is building a more elusive hell for himself. He can not see even heaven because the wall is too high. Without God, the destiny of mankind is hell. A man without God is dying spiritually; when his physical life is over he is confronted with an eternal separation from God. While Lazarus was spending his life, according to the explanation of Jesus' wealth and Lazarus (Luke 16: 19-31), the rich were sending a relaxed and happy life without thinking about God. But they know God. After their death, they truly understood the seriousness of the choice they had in their lives. The rich realized that the pursuit of life was far too late far beyond the pursuit of wealth. At the same time, Lazarus was comforted in heaven. For these two people, their short time on Earth will be paler compared to their permanent state of their soul.

I remember Jesus was telling the parables of Lazarus and wealthy people (Luke 16: 19-31). Jesus said that the rich have great wealth and are enjoying his wealth, and Lazarus suffers pain outside his door. The rich use Lazarus to gain wealth. He just ignored the sharing. So God punishes him (Luke 16: 19-31). 2) Pious wealthy people: Pious and wealthy people help poor people with disabilities and those who are in need, helping humble widows, orphans and foreigners share the testimony of God with unbelievers , Indicates devotion of good will. No matter how justice gets, God asks us to treat the poor generously.

In the last sermon, King quoted a metaphor of rich (diving) and Lazarus of Luke 16: 19-31. The rich are wearing the best clothes, living a luxurious life every day, and Lazarus Road was sitting at the doorway "I want to eat something that fell from a rich table." When he died he went to heaven, and the rich went to hell. By accumulating his wealth, the rich made a gap that could not be bridged between him and God. The Bible does not mean that the rich are not good, it is ominous to defend wealth for themselves.
