The term Renaissance in British Renaissance was simply defined as "regeneration". This movement began in Italy in the latter half of the 13th century and began in Europe during the second and half century thereafter. French historian Jules Michel used the term "Renaissance" for the first time in 1858. It is the best representation of the transition period from European medieval to modern (Johnson 3).

The time between 1485 and 1660 showed a new starting point for those living in the UK; this time it was called Renaissance. In England, people are challenging their past beliefs; Before the Renaissance, England was separated from God and his principles in their lives, government and music. During the last 75 years, British began to question their own principles of religion, establishing desires for science, not information or evidence of God.

Place in the history of literature: The Renaissance of the UK occurred from the 16th century to the 17th century. Humanism includes the classic teaching of regaining Plato and Aristotle. He is very handsome, chic, well-educated in classical Latin and theology (religious philosophy), and he intends to spend money on research and art. Therefore, Henry seems to be a feature of the Renaissance. The great humanist Thomas Moore served as Prime Minister (Supreme Clerk) in the 1530s. German artist Hans Holbein is a court painter of Henry and a British scholar Thomas Elliott is one of his secretaries. The Renaissance Palace of Hampton Court Palace is a wonderful place for entertainment. St. Paul 's School was founded during the reign of Henry and was founded by John Colet, head of research at St. Paul' s Cathedral. This is the first grammar school to provide strict guidance in classical language.
