This book introduces the popular theory of individualism in the Renaissance. Martin critically analyzed the works of Berkhardt, Greenblatt, and other renowned Renaissance scholars. He showed his own perspective on personal progress and backed him by carefully studying the social history and literary relics of Venice in the 15th and 16th centuries. This book was written by a well-known Renaissance philosopher and the humanist, Pico del Mirador, known as the "Declaration of the Renaissance". It describes a person as a dignified being created by God to achieve the highest possibilities of God. This book quotes an important Bible person and book and prove his theory that humans are aiming to make use of their intelligence to make what they want. His theory encouraged many people to study humanities. Because he encouraged people to become experts in all fields.

According to the author, the humanist was the leader of the Renaissance intellectual. During the Renaissance, people concentrated on individuals and lives. Renaissance is full of new ideas. With the invention of the printing press and the translation of the main work, especially the translation of the Bible, people can leave the church and enter into words. The newspaper enables more access to literature and understanding of the Bible. Renaissance is very tolerant of religion and separation from the traditional church format did not mean that people separated themselves from religious teachings and thoughts. Indeed, in the Renaissance era, many religious paintings became cultures. Humanist also believes that cherishing ordinary life, people should get married, have family, pay attention to life, and enjoy happiness.
