The Pursuit of a Theory of Everything

Aristotle initially stated a belief in unifying the principles behind all natural phenomena and proposed that all problems arise from the four elements of nature, the earth, the air, the fire and the water (Dalft). Since then, research on these principles has undergone considerable change, but deep-rooted interest in fundamental unity still exists. Unified theme is defined as an attempt to explain some principles based on definitions or equations. This happens in every field of science, from biology to cosmology.

In the 1930 's, philosopher Carl Popper proclaimed a famous theory called critical rationalism to describe the scientific method. The motive for his theory is the refusal of classical empiricism - the pursuit of the theory, and the point of natural observation to prove it. Instead, he thinks that the theory must be forgeable in order to be classified correctly as "science". In other words, it must be possible to use empirical evidence to prove that the theory is wrong. For this reason, scientific theories have never been proved to be true indeed, but we do believe that if there is no evidence that it is false evidence, it is a reliable scientific fact. Popper believes that all of us should actively refute our theory in order to comply with the pursuit of knowledge in science.
