"People who do not read good books have no advantage over those who can not read good books." - All Toddin infants have been taught by parents or schools. After a while please read the joy of books such as Dr. Seuss' s "Cat in the Hat", or C. S. Lewis "The Chronicles of Narnia" and J. K Rowling's "Harry Potter Series". The question that arises is whether you are contesting or not. Most people do not know that they do not know the word "literacy" or do not think it is an illiteracy misspelling.
Please note that this is also the "average" of the country, which may be useless and misleading. In major cities this problem is even more serious and Detroit's literacy rate is 47%. Many people have basic reading comprehension ability, but they choose not to read. I am far beyond the entrance age, but I still do not know how income tax works. Given the legal bet, and considering the fact that most people are paying more than they need more, the school - the school that you are said to be able to do in a year - controls the real school If you teach it, is not it good? Byzantine tax law?
Types of Reading and Writing When these students told me about reading, I noticed that there are many reasons why these students chose not to read. However, after hearing carefully among countless contents, I saw a variety of reaction patterns. These patterns lead to several types of illiteracy rates (see Figure 3.1). To understand these categories, I used an avid reader as an anchor for mobility. Students who consider themselves an enthusiastic reader in this research tend to do the following.
(G) Reading / writing rate - This refers to the conventional level of literacy analysis, including lazy individuals applying periodically to individuals who do not read and write skills. In other respects, people know how to read and write, but those who can not apply this skill to read books, articles, newspapers, or other documents. (L) Statistical literacy ability - literacy ability to understand statistical data provided in various forms of publications, such as newspapers, television and the Internet. Mathematics is a prerequisite for statistical culture. Having statistical knowledge can be considered to include both the ability to evaluate statistically critically and the relevance of understanding statistical-based approaches to all aspects of life.
