The oil of Niger Delta was discovered for the first time in 1956 and since then the people and the environment in the area have become a problem. Today's instability of the Niger Delta was caused by numerous water leaks and the civil war it caused. The discovery of petroleum in this area has raised expectations for economic development. It has been nearly 60 years since now I have found that people in this area have done nothing but environmental, economic and social problems (Pegg, 2013).

In the vicinity of the Niger Delta, the whole community is pitying with a malicious oil company that has polluted the land and destroyed the foods, water, and livelihoods people depend on for survival. Oil spill due to an illegal act such as an old pipeline or oil theft is a notorious epidemic, but the company has not been properly tidied up. Crime under international law, other serious violations and lack of justice for human rights abuses are major problems. Because they have committed serious human rights violations such as international law and other torture, so that the government is not responsible for their military strength, they are suing people who are suspected as members or supporters of Boko Haram.

Since the company and the government keep a secret, it is impossible to know how much oil is flowing out every year in Niger Delta. However, two separate and independent studies over the past four years show that the Gulf of Mexico is scattered so far in the sea, wetlands and land. According to a report prepared by WWF, the World Conservation Union, the Federal Government of Nigeria and representatives of the Nigerian Nature Conservation Fund, oil production in 2006 reached 1.5 million tons due to Alaska's Accent Valdess tanker disaster. 50 times pollution - In the past half century, the delta has flowed. Last year, Amnesty International calculated an oil spill equivalent to at least 9 million barrels, and an oil company was accused of atrocities of human rights.

Shell is drilling oil in 28 countries, but 40% of the world's oil spill is occurring in Niger delta. In Niger Delta there were 2,976 oil spills between 1976 and 1991. Ogonyland caused serious problems due to oil spills, such as water pollution and loss of many precious animals and plants. According to a survey by the World Bank, Ogoni Land's hydrocarbon contamination level is more than 60 times that of the United States, and underground project survey in 1997 found that petroleum hydrocarbons contained in Ogoni village's water source are Europe.
