Throughout history women have fought against oppression. They are dragged in and depressed by cultural, economic, political ideology and a sexistic concept that governs the structure of male dominated society. Beginning in the mid-1800s and early 1900's, women became more frank and accused of gender discrimination and their defined roles. Women talk in strong words, ask for voices, ask men for equality, and for identities outside the house. Many literary works in the mid-1800's and early 1900's, especially women, saw the pursuit of gender equality in the symbol of oppression and society.

Bahamas' gender equality has a role and roles are different, but their roles are the same. (Harry Horley) Since humanity stepped on the earth, gender equality has always been a concern of society. When thinking about gender equality, we consider different perspectives between men and women. Gender equality is determined and achieved when women and men have the same rights and opportunities at all levels of society including economic participation and decision-making, according to gender response and governance. It is important for gender not to define us as human beings or to change our values. It is well known that men are stronger and women are more emotionally aware. Men are considered health care providers' criteria and women are considered better breeders. It is better to discuss which side is better, but the difference between men and women is recognized. One is better than the other. They are balanced against each other. The same man
