The Power of Stories

Story power Many people tell stories to tell others about themselves. Throughout my life my family has talked to me many stories, and each story has the purpose behind it. I was told that the story of growth is about my family's experience and what I did. Through these stories these stories are important to me because different families want to reveal a lot about themselves and have them understand their thoughts, beliefs, or emotions about topics.

Recently, I saw a lot about the power of the story as a tool for communication and participation, especially as a tool for climate change and advocacy for sustainable development. One of the best expressions of story power is the concept of a public story based on the work of Martial Ganz. Ganz is one of the people who successfully used the grassroots organizational model in Barack Obama 's 2008 presidential election. He and his colleagues at Harvard 's Kennedy government graduate train community organizers to use public stories as leadership skills. According to their training guide:

They are as powerful as stories, they are released and inevitably buried in the misleading heading and in the mountains of more informative and dirty stories. So please tell bravely how these stories will act? This initiative, initiated by powerful Hollywood women like Shonda Rimes, has set up a practical public interest fund for victims of abuse and harassment. This applies not only to Hollywood stars, but also to gatekeepers, farm workers, and low-level retailers.
