For centuries, purple played an important role in Christianity during Holy Week around Easter. Purple, red, black, white, gold has a symbolic meaning as a royal family color and suffering. In the early days, considering the cost and difficulty of creating purple, its significance is not a coincidence. In addition, colors often symbolize the sufferings of Jesus Christ when crucified.
When I visited Guatemala a week before Semana Santa ("Holy Week"), I was able to witness the power of purple fortunately.
