A suburban house is a sign of a dream in America. Many people owned houses after the Second World War. Housing demand is increasing rapidly as veterans returned from war and started their family. The federal government subsidizes the efforts of the private construction industry to provide enormous demand. In order to build many houses in a short period of time, the contractor applied mass production technology to building a house. The houses are small, identical to each other, the structure of the building is poor, but the most important thing is that they are affordable. They sold very quickly, and many Americans realized the dream of housing ownership for the first time.

After the Second World War, Americans experienced economic growth, but the difference in this era of economic prosperity is that the impact is widespread. Americans are richer than ever. Since the late 1920s, Americans with an annual income between $ 3,000 and $ 10,000 (defined as the middle class of the country) have doubled, including about 60% of the US population. Living standards in the United States increased dramatically as house sales and automobile sales were strong. Consumerism broke out as Americans spent disposable income. Due to consumer demand, companies are encouraged to develop new and innovative products. Most Americans can get refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, electric blenders for the first time, and all products are on sale as they ease the life in America.

After the Second World War, the US retreated and had to see his own country. The American dream has recovered with the atrocities of war. In the 1930's, American Dream worked hard, served a family with a man, and was about to get out of recession. In the 1940's, things changed after the Second World War, and consumerism and feminism began to play an important role in many other factors. There are many ways to explain American dreams and their influences, such as World War II, modernism, new technology, entertainment.
