The Polio Vaccine

For many people, this is a better vaccine. Oral polio vaccine is not a big needle, so it is suitable for infants. Despite the invention of oral polio vaccine, parents are still better than polio vaccines, parents still can choose the immunization they want and schedule. Most parents choose oral polio vaccine. They chose it. It is because the injected vaccine is usually too big and it hurts for young children.

Currently there are two polio vaccines in the world. Oral polio vaccine and polio vaccine. The vaccine was first invented. It was invented by Jonas Salk and was first tested in 1952. It was announced to the world on April 12, 1955. The second vaccine was invented by Albert Sabin. This vaccine is an oral vaccine. The oral vaccine was a scientific advancement at the time. This vaccine was tested in 1957 and was introduced worldwide in 1962.

There are two types of polio vaccines. One is inactivated (used in IPV - Norway) and the other is an attenuated oral vaccine (OPV) used in many countries. Vaccine-induced poliomyelitis occurs only when a weak attenuated oral vaccine is used. In immunocompromised populations, vaccine viruses begin to spread, and in some cases the ability to cause polio may gradually recover (circulating vaccine-induced poliovirus (cVDPV)). In August 2018, poliovirus derived from vaccine became popular in Somalia, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, Papua New Guinea.
