In Don McLennan's poetry 'poetry class' there is a sarcastic feeling. This poem tells English instructor of poetry. He expressed his views and emotions about the course, how he influenced his life, and changed his view and challenge to students. He expressed his expectations. It is worth noting that Don McLennan is actually a lecturer in English poetry in South Africa. Therefore, I think that this poem reflects his views on himself and his students.

The definition of poetry is the art of writing, showing more imaginative and deep emotions, ie ordinary speech. Poetry is a gathering of meaningful vocabulary, but for some reason young people do not understand it. Mr. Hugh McLennan said, "Because there is no poetry, these young people are very poor." Poetry is dead in our life. Educational institutions introduce our poetry and teach, but we are not yet grasping the quality and meaning of poetry in our lives. Poetry brings imagination, but today's literature does not promote the use of our imagination.

Teenagers can not understand the importance of poetry in their lives. They did not understand that it was a concept of "poor" without poetry. They lack the sense of spiritual dimension. Poetry makes it possible to explore and understand emotions expressed through words. The poems of young people are considered "not cool". This is not what ordinary teenagers will do in their spare time. Teenagers are accustomed to following this trend and poetry is not part of that trend so far. Most young people have never experienced all aspects of poetry and the meanings behind it. We have never been affected emotionally until we like to read poetry. McLennan was in the state of the sunset and star at night, "Poetry is dead on them, or they have never touched it."

"Witness of witnesses" argues that the importance of the poetry of charity spirit is willing to use power to speak. This is an important discussion, but I'd like to know if the lessons and examples lead the modern poet. They seem to think that the possibility of poetry has a completely different boundary from this anthology's poem (although it may not differ much from Walt Whitman). As an effort to imagine what is public, what is poetical and how they gather in our own time, not as an act of resistance or condemnation
