When Daniel Mason traveled South East Asia to study malaria as a young medical student, no one dreamed of bringing a beautiful novel, a piano tuner, when he returned. When a person reads it he or she feels the sun of Burma and can see the Salween River flowing through their feet. Daniel Mason got a bachelor's degree in biology from Harvard University in 1998 and spent a year researching malaria at the border between Thailand and Myanmar. Most of them are piano tuners.
