One thing about Saiphin aka Rosa: The story of Rosa 's Thai cafe started really in a small town called Khao Khor in Phetchabun Province in northern Thailand (I grew a little since I lived there). This is a place I was born with a simple family - I have two sisters and brothers - my fathers were farmers for generations. I believe that this lay the foundation for my cooking ambition. I was surrounded by locally produced fresh ingredients, and I started cooking and eating since I was young. Fast forward for 30 years, I have settled in London now. One day in 2008, I walked a brick lane with my husband and came across an old British cafe in Spitalfields called Rosa. We fell in love with it as it seems to be the perfect place to sell my food. It mixes cool and authentic London with modern Bangkok. This is where Rosa 's Thai Café was born.
Thailand is located in South Asia, bordering Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar (Burma). There are four main types of land. In the north is the towering mountain range. In the northeast there is a rolling landscape of the plateau which can be afflicted by drought. In the heart of Thailand there is a very fertile plain, a perfect atmosphere for cultivating rice. Finally there is a dense tropical rainforest in the south. Fertile soil and abundant water supply in these countries provides the ideal conditions for rice cultivation. Thailand produces large quantities of rice for people and has enough surplus food to become the world's largest exporter of rice. In addition to paddy fields, Thailand also has abundant mulberry trees necessary for silk production. It is important for the economy to plant rubber trees in the south. Other crops produce various tropical fruits including pineapple, orange, grape, melon, mango, papaya, banana.
Thailand, the country is located in the center of Southeast Asia. Thailand is completely located in the tropical region and has diverse ecosystems, including the hills of the northern border, the fertile paddy fields of the central plains, the vast plateaus of the northeast, and the steep coast of the South Peninsula. Until the late 20th century, Thailand was mainly agricultural country, but more and more people have migrated to the capital Bangkok and other cities since the 1960s. The capital area of Bangkok is still the most outstanding city center in the country, but there are other cities in the northeastern with considerable size such as Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat), Khon Kaen, Udon Thani in the north. Pattaya and Hat Yai in the far south
