A perfect storm conveys completely human emotions without making it feel too cheesy. A perfect storm depends on the effect of a wonderful hurricane scene to make the movie better. The perfect storm is never excellent, but it is definitely the finest action movie. Wolfgang Petersen is an excellent director, but of course he is not one of his most powerful movies.
