The Patient's Rights and Confidentiality in the Nursing Profession

This reflects my confidentiality obligation and understanding of privacy, and the patient has the right to understand my health condition and the reaction of sympathetic nerves of nursing profession. Care as a careful occupation requires acceptance of communication, caring, trust and respect, in order to establish and maintain a strong therapeutic relationship with patients and their families. I will present important experience gained as a student nurse in clinical practice in obstetric gynecology at a hospital trained in China.

Because of personal information shared between the patient and his or her nurse, patient confidentiality is an important discourse in nursing profession. For all medical institutions, patient confidentiality is very important and nurses need to know how to record all contents and who has the right to view them. Nurses need to know not only the place to provide the appropriate means to record information but also familiarize themselves with the health knowledge necessary for medical facilities.

Privacy and confidentiality are important aspects of nursing. It is important for graduate school nurses to understand and respect the necessity of patient confidentiality. As a medical professional, this is the connection of nurses to patients and colleagues. Nurses have a moral responsibility to protect the information they receive when caring for patients. When patients entrust their health care and personal information to nurses, they want to keep them secret (Erickson & Millar 2005, page 1).

Patient 's obligation to keep confidentiality is one of the cornerstones of care for the future. Maintaining the dignity of patients is important and nurses are confident in their patients and are obliged to comply with them. ANMC 's Value Statement 7 Article 4 The nurse code of ethics clearly states that nurses should observe and adhere to measures to protect patients' confidentiality obligations. Value Statement 3 of the SNB, Ethical and Professional Code of Conduct supports this, but the nurse says that confidentiality of all customer related information should be protected.
