The Parable of the Wedding Feast

Biblical traditional marriage usually symbolizes the fellowship of the covenant between God and his people. The wedding party in this era of history is a happy opportunity and very important for the fiance of the fiancé. "The Gospel of Matthew is a literary work that explains the theological significance of certain historical events under certain historical conditions, like all the New Testament gospels" (Bowling 89). Matthew 22: 1-14 uses this tradition to express wedding celebrations to reflect the importance of Jesus' goal of bringing salvation to the people on the earth.

Reading the Gospel is a parade of a wedding reception. The king held wedding receptions for his son and invited them, but they were busy with other things in the future. So the king's servant went to the highway to find the guests to satisfy the wedding ceremony; they forced visitors whether the customer was good or not good . I feel uncomfortable when I realize that it is easy for those who are busy to obey the invitation of the king, but I like this parable. My favorite part is to force them, to make them bad and good. Many parts of the gospel talk about bad things and good things, and our concept is upside down. In the story of a prodigal son, the "bad" son finally entered his father's joy, and his brothers - "good" son - were abandoned and overwhelmed to participate. Likewise, worker metaphor is confused with our concept of justice, bringing the same rewards to those who are working all day and those who work only for the last hour.

The parables of other kingdoms also explain the main elements of repentance. For example, the parable of a wedding reception (Matthew 22: 1-14) emphasizes the importance of answering God's invitation positively and accepting the word of God's salvation. A parable of talent (Matthew 25: 14-30) encourages diligence and loyalty in fulfilling the duties God has given us.
