The Oppression of Women

Victor Hugo's historical novel Les Misérables tells the story of several characters who became victims of French society in the 19th century. Fantine is a struggling single mother and today is obliged to fall into an environment opposite to the environment confronted by countless women. Because she was unable to find a job and owed her debt to the caretaker of her child, Fantine was obliged to sell her belongings, hair, teeth, and finally all her body. Since many women today are not prostituting, she did not choose to engage in prostitution; they are compulsory sexual slavery as a means of survival.

Not all the oppression of women all over the world can be explained by culture. However, the examples vary widely. It is diverse, from women forced to marry with her will under the name of religion to women who are expected to endure sexual harassment at work. The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) has been almost universally ratified. Every country agrees with the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The right of women is human rights, there is no room for culture in discussion.

Many women are still oppressed. Women are often despised. Women's oppression is a result of the superiority of many years of men and leads to their loss of rights. Women in these horrible countries like the horrible and painful life. Much of today's culture is very interesting because of how we keep suppressing women in society. Women are always worse than men. When are these cultures aware of what they live in the past and when they notice that it is the 21st century? This will raise doubts: Do you really want to become a woman who likes this condition?

What is suppression? First of all, oppression is not depression - it is not a state of mind. You do not have to consciously experience that your oppression is oppressed. Women are being oppressed under the capitalist regime, but this does not mean that there is no case for women to accept a person who "chooses" lap dancing as a housewife or other occupation. Of course, depression and many other psychological or physical illnesses may be related to oppression, but it is important not to identify both. Repression is not a term simply describing a relationship that one feels as being controlled by others, or being dominated.
