The Old Testament: Foreshadowing the New Testament

In times when Christ lived on the earth, as we know, believers are not in complete contact with the Bible, they are well known today. Believers in this ancient era can only enter the Old Testament. However, through their entry into the Old Testament, believers were given the foundation of the New Testament period. This foundation gives the believers of the New Testament the principles of good and evil as set by the Lord and they should follow these principles. In addition, the Old Testament is full of people's stories, and their life is an example of the future life of Christ on Earth.

A unified view is necessary for the interdependence relationship between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Without the next chapter of the New Testament, the Old Testament is incomplete. There is no Old Testament as a prelude, I can not understand the New Testament. The two combinations as Messiah not only show unity but also provide information for eschaton's last chapter. The use of the Old Testament in the Old Testament (eg the call to the story in Jerusalem reflects Deuteronomy 18) and the Old Testament in the Old Testament show this interdependence. The natural nature of this relationship is noteworthy, the New Testament uses the Old Testament as a proof of the continuity with the Old Testament in theological argument, and text showing analogy in the history of salvation (eg Matthew Gospel Chapter 2 17-18) and realization of typology.

If we are subject to the New Testament provided by the New Testament, why should we investigate the Old Testament? Learning the Old Testament provides a valuable and necessary foundation for understanding the New Testament and its application to life. In the Old Testament, we have found all the history and a contractual relationship between God and men.
