In the Old Testament, the term "contract" is the Hebrew "Bellis" and is used more than once in various sentences. Some scholars say that the word contract is hard to find the real meaning. You will hear the word covenant everywhere in the Old Testament. When we hear the word promise, we may think about only one or two covenants. There are many covenants in the Bible. We define and explain five contracts. The five covenants are Noahik Covenant, Abraham Covenant, Mosaic Covenant, David Covenant and the 5th Covenant, or (New Covenant).
Most of the covenants are in the Old Testament. The five contracts used in this article are contracts of God and Noah, contracts of God and Abraham, contracts of Mosaic, contracts of God and David, and Christ's contracts, also known as the New Testament. Some of the original contracts are in the book of Genesis. And Abraham and his children are commanded to be circumcised as a sign of the covenant with their God. "You must obey the covenant between me and you and your descendants, each of you is circumcised." You must cut out the flesh of your wallet. It should be a symbol of a contract between me and you. "(King James Bible Generic 10-11)
First of all, Bible students need to understand that the Old Testament is the basis of the New Testament. Messiah Jesus is the fulfillment of the classic prophecies of the Old Testament. The death of Messiah and the establishment of the New Testament are the focus of the Old Testament and its classics. Messiah suffers for the sins of this world and dies for it; God will make a new covenant through the death of Messiah. The New Testament establishes an eternal relationship between God and a depraved man.
If we are subject to the New Testament provided by the New Testament, why should we investigate the Old Testament? Learning the Old Testament provides a valuable and necessary foundation for understanding the New Testament and its application to life. In the Old Testament, we have found all the history and a contractual relationship between God and men. Tora is the first five books, including laws and instructions for Moses and the people of Israel. Moses praised that he wrote Genesis through Deuteronomy. History book (Joshua passed Ester) to Joshua. Various writers write poetry (through Solomon's song). Perhaps the most frequently read out of these five are the Psalms (songs) written mainly by David.
