The Norton Book of Personal Essays

I am always a fan of my thesis, the editor Joseph Epstein that personal articles (or familiar articles) is a form of discovery and is a way to share complex questions, problems, and topics I accept. Personal articles may also be interesting about how to eat sharp reflections about love, regret and loss, or ice cream cones.

This series includes a broad topic of reminding families, friends, or discussing social issues from general memory of deep memory to 40 years old. This paper began when the oldest writer Mark Twain was born in 1952 in 1835. Amy Tan, the youngest artist, was born in 1952. The themes of decades are very different, but it is an interesting way to present collections, as it is a common point that writers' skills eloquently share their ideas.

I'm very happy to see a wonderful article from a writer I have never read before. For example, Willa Cather's "A Chance Meeting" is a gorgeous piece of casual encounter with hotel elderly women. An article on Dorothy Parker's 40 is L. Just as the last hills eat ice cream, it is interesting. F. Scott Fitzgerald, Truman Capote, Doris Lessing, Eudora Welty, and many others are also worth reading. Indeed, out of 53 articles including 468 pages, only two or three articles were not of interest to me. If you are a fan of a personal essay, this book is a must read. You will learn a lot from the great people.

Another one of Jim Norton 's favorite bestseller is his book "I dislike your internal organs". The book collects over 35 papers and criticizes Steve Martin, Al Sharpton, Keith Alberman and others. In this book, Jim Norton does not regard sexuality as humor. According to reports, men support prostitution. In my hatred that your internal organs are a lively attempt to bake some celebrities, it seems to be related to those celebrities listed in 35 articles of habitual curse book .

Please do not make an unfair comparison. I have recently read a review comparing the personal writers' personal essay collection and a more mature writer's reprint article (mainly criticism). This does not seem to be a convenient comparison. People have very different expectations for these books. Finally, as a normative modification of all these guidelines: Do not get misled by the expression of "good reviews". For example, you do not have to talk about this book directly at the beginning or end. If you are smart enough and pleasant, you can escape from almost anything.
