The New Deal was a perfect failure to deal with the Great Depression The Great Depression during the two world wars had devastating effects on the American society and the economy. In the United States and many other countries, large-scale unemployment and poverty, failure of banks and companies is a big problem. In 1933, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt attempted to improve the situation by introducing a "New Deal" plan aimed at providing economic relief and reform. The main goal is to reduce large-scale unemployment and improve the US economy by introducing new government policies and institutions.

As the US population is aging, the number of elderly who are receiving treatment for drug abuse problem has been a concern to increase significantly. The purpose of this article is to understand the problems and concerns that caused drug abuse among elderly people. There is no doubt that substance abuse is common in some age groups.
