The history of the British Empire is the story of Britain and the story of the world. In the past 400 years, the UK has played an important role in the world - primarily for its empire

In this exhibition you will learn the reasons and ways that the empire is so important. We did not try to study every aspect of the empire. Instead, we will provide you some information and source material that will give you the imperial idea.

The material comes from the National Archives of the United States of America, the National Archives of the United Kingdom, and many other libraries and archives. The following is a digitized African-American document included in Unbound Archives. The Black Liberation Army and the Armed Struggle Program (BLA) are extremist groups that underwent black nationalism, that is, from 1970 to 1981. It is mainly composed of ex-Panthers (BPP), organization plan is one of "armed conflict". That goal is to "hold military power for the liberation and self-determination of black Americans". In the UK, the National Archives (formerly known as the Public Records Office) is the Government Archives of England and Wales. British Heritage Archive is an archive museum of heritage in the UK. The National Archives of Scotland is located in Edinburgh, serving the country. Meanwhile, the Belfast Public Records Bureau of Northern Ireland is the government archives of Northern Ireland. There are many important collections, including local governments, real estate, churches and business records, archival networks managed by county record offices in England, Wales and Scotland and other municipalities. Many archives provide a catalog of the National Archives program and you can search online at the library.

In the UK, the National Archives comprehensively searched its own catalog and various other files listed in the Access Archive Index. DocumentsOnline provides digital copies of various documents of the National Archives (including wills). Most of the available documents relate to England and Wales. Several digital copies of the main sources are available from the National Archives of Scotland. While other collections have their own online catalog, there are many county record office collections in the archive. Many county recording centers provide digital copies of documents
