The Natchez Indians

INTRODUCTION Natchez is known for its powerful central government and a highly developed religious ceremony. Furthermore, the language of Natchez seems to have nothing to do with the language of other tribes in that area. The tribe is said to have used the name "Thelöel" when pointing to itself, and since one of the villages has this name, the French may have named the tribe "Natchez" . Likewise, France also designated Natchez as the surrounding area.

One of the earliest slave riots in the area was the Natchez-Indian riot of 1729 against French settlers. French traded with slavery and took Natchez the first African slave to grow tobacco. The slave brought a radical spirit. As shown in the 1997 movie Amistad, their attack took the form of resistance to slave ships initially. They arrived in Natchez and did not suppress this type of armed. If it does, it triggers aggression. Natchez Indian fueled this spark

In order to protest the atrocities of the French, the Natchez Indians hired several slaves, guaranteed them freedom, and in 1729 against the French, of which about 230 were murdered. The French army punished Natchez using allies from other Indian tribes and regained a lot of slaves. The Natchez Indian eventually lost the war. Many people in the Caribbean were sold as slaves and others joined other tribes. In 1731, the flames of violence shook again. Some African slaves who participated in the uprising of the Natchez-Indians participated in a conspiracy to kill all the French and to occupy the colony. Governor of Louisiana heard rumors about the uprising, but even after her alleged slave female slavery implied a rebellion against a French soldier, she was dismissed. The Swiss living in Antitine Le Page du Pratz of Natchez investigated the incident and later explained it in the history of Louisiana.
