The myth of Arachne - Iseult Gillespie

Greek myths are full of transducers of shape, from a sailor who became a pig, a fairy who sprouted in trees, and a gaze that changed the audience to a stone. Powerful gods usually change their shape freely - but for humans, mutations are often unpopular. Iseult Gillespie shares how such an unsettling shift affects the spindle player Arachne.

The story of Arakune has influenced Las Hilanderas ("Prado's spinner" or Arakune's allegory), one of Beraras's most realistic paintings. There, the painter represents two important moments in the myth. In the front, Arakune and the goddess behind you (old and young weavers) are also kidnapped in Europe, copies of the Titian version (or Rubens' titian copy). Minerva (Athena) appears in front of her, and she punishes Arachne. It turns myths into creation and imitation, reflections on God and man, master and student (and therefore on the nature of art)

I review myths I read. The most interesting way to ask how to deal with personal issues is "Arachne". Arachne is a girl with skillful needlework techniques against any other women in Greece. Her job is very strange. She challenged Athena's wisdom and craftsmanship. She opposed the powerful goddess, but her embarrassment and ungrateful behavior eventually led her to fight Athena. I believe that she has self-respected too much and has exceeded the power of the goddess, which is the condition I used to accomplish my challenge.

However, experienced knowledgeable roles are not always obsolete. Athena is the Greek goddess of Greek mythology and also shows many of these features. In the myths of Athena and Arachne, Athena's challenge was to try knitting and embroidery skills for Arakune. Athena tried to persuade Arakune to succumb to that challenge, but she was not allowed to see errors in his decision. Arachne asserts his words and assume that she will not get hurt, Athena will be an equal competitor and life will continue as before. In this case, Arakune is drawn as innocence or ignorance. Later, Arachne lost Athena. And he decided to abandon her life instead of turning her into a spider. Admitting that people have the ability to change, Athena has realized that Arachne can be killed so let Arachne experience her sins and shame.
