"Absorb thinking" is the ability of the heart to acquire information and feelings from the surrounding world.
Infants are evidence of their ability to absorb. Babies have no language at birth, and there is little skill besides survival instincts. Three years after birth, they use their sensations (hands, eyes, ears and nose) to soak everything around them. Children do this naturally without thought or choice. Maria Montessori called this period "unconscious creation"
Information that children unconsciously absorb from the surroundings when they are very young is used to build and create themselves. In just a few years, children can walk, talk, and support themselves. It is this ability to absorb this powerful ability that allows a child to master the language, physical skills (walking, controlling his hands) and controlling the body functions necessary for future independence .
About 3 years old, the child changed from a state of unconscious absorption mind intentionally to absorb the mind. In this conscious mind, children begin to focus and concentrate on experiences that will deliberately develop in the first three years.
At this stage of conscious absorption (3-6 years old), the basic work of children is intellectual development and freedom. His idea forced him to organize, organize and understand the information he unconsciously absorbed. Through this series of intelligence, children consciously move, concentrate, and have freedom to choose their own direction.
"Absorbing thinking" welcomes everything, hopes for everything, accepts poverty richly and equally, accepts all religions and prejudices and customs of other citizens, reflecting everything. This is a child! "
Maria Montessori divides the stage of absorption thinking into two stages of unconscious and conscious stage. From birth to 3 years old, the child unconsciously or unconsciously absorbs the information. He (or she) learns to sit, stand, walk, take hands and talk without conscious effort. Children develop his basic "talent" or function by imitating. At this stage the children imitate what they see. They are preparing for the next stage, conscious stage. From 3 years old to about 6 years old, children entered the stage of development of consciousness. They still have a sponge-like mind that is easy to absorb information, but now they consciously seek some experience. Children at this stage are expanding their newly developed abilities and abilities. They tend to learn ordering, sorting, early mathematics, music, shapes and sounds of letters etc, all of which ultimately lead to math, reading and writing skills.
How do kids do it? With its amazing absorption! Maria Montessori continues to explain during the absorption phase that the children build their own personality or build themselves to adults who become adults. Child development in the first 6 years is very important. By 5 years old, the child's core brain structure development rate reached 85%. And the child builds on this core for the rest of his life.
Montessori's understanding of the ability to absorb souls in the first six years of life is a good gift. It tells us that we can prepare a rich environment for young children. The Montessori Early Childhood Education Program of 2-5 years old introduces children a variety of fun activities such as language, mathematics, science, music, art, geometry. With the power of indomitable thinking, we can give a broad and deep foundation when children are completely lacking in learning. Through amazing 'psychological chemistry' of absorption thinking, children build their identity with a wide range of interests. Children learn by self-selection, participate in activities, and build a solid basic habit, thoughtful and systematic learning.
