The Middle East Drinking Water Shortage

2024-02-18 06:23:10

Due to geography and population growth, Middle Eastern countries are facing increasing demand for water supply declines. In the Middle East, precipitation is irregular and the rainy season is very short. The World Bank reports that this area (including North Africa) accounts for 5% of the world's population but occupies only 1% of the world's water resources. The frequency of drought continues higher and lasts longer, which indicates that the future is even darker. People themselves are not helping this situation. The rivers in the Middle East are diverted, dams and aquifers are drained and contaminated with pesticides and sea salt. And even the marsh is dry for excessive pumping.

Therefore, the shortage of drinking water is a problem to be studied in detail and a solution to this problem has been developed. There are many reasons for the shortage of drinking water, but most of it is due to human activities. These activities include activities such as deforestation, contamination, water abuse, groundwater contamination that cause global warming. If future generations want to survive, it is important to develop a solution to this problem. This paper aims to analyze the shortage of drinking water resources and cause and solution of problems. Finally, I will summarize the issues discussed.

There are various human activities and tendencies which are the main cause of drinking water shortage. These activities destroy the environment, pollute the water source, or put pressure on the water resources, resulting in shortage of drinking water. Some of them are discussed below; environmental pollution is one of the main reasons for the shortage of drinking water. Pollution contaminates available water sources and risks water to human consumption. Contamination can also adversely affect the environment, adversely affect, and may drain water (Levy 62-67). In this section, we will explain three main types of pollution, water and atmospheric pollution and groundwater contamination. Air pollution occurs through human activities such as industrial products or automobile products such as combustion of fuels, emission of harmful gases, emission of greenhouse gases, etc.

Water is an important resource for humans. It should have perfect quality and sufficient quantity. Contaminated drinking water or water shortage may occur in various situations, such as rupture or freezing of a water pipe, drought, flood, or the presence of chemicals in water, pests or cyanobacteria (Cyanobacteria). Please keep the bottled drinking water at home. You should have a minimum of 3 days reserve, and you can drink it alone in 2 liters of water per day. In addition, we need to add 2 liters per person per day for preparation of food such as toothpaste and personal hygiene control. Your pet also needs water
