Media as a social entity According to Loretta F. Kasper's "interdisciplinary English" book "socialization and culture", socialization is the process by which children learn how to express and participate in groups in their lives. There are four basic actors in social socialization: families, schools, peers, and mass media. Each of these agents plays a part in our life. However, in my opinion, the most important social factor for child development is the mass media.

In addition to families, much of the social activities for children come from the media. About 2 to 3 years old, children in our society first saw the media as a social entity in the form of television. Socialization comes from children's programs, cartoons, and especially commercials. Socialization comes from the events of characters, images, texts, and stories. Some media specialize in being a social agent like Sesame Street, but most of them are simply hospitality. Based on the combination of adolescent subculture, popular culture (music and movies), and corporate marketing, the influence of the media continues and is strengthened during youth

Social agents are considered to provide important information necessary for a child to succeed in order to become a member of society. Examples of these agents are family, school, associates, media and so on. All social agents are associated with other people. For example, in the media, symbolic images influence individuals and society, making mass media the most controversial social agent. Families are fundamental social systems of society, families are considered to be the major and most important subjects of socialization. Families are responsible for growing in the structure and society of their families, teaching norms, and accepting actions. There are many kinds of families that can be described as a series of relationships including parents and children and can be included by anyone involved through blood or adoption. Socialization is to learn social groups, communities or cultural customs, attitudes and values
