I read this book long before it was published as a hard cover book. One of the main reasons I picked up hardcore science novels (I usually do not do) because I am promoted "Apollo 13 met an actor" especially. I like to read films of survival and disaster as science fiction novels, Apollo 13, gravity, space cowboy, Armageddon and Mars mission. So for me (usually a fantasy and a romantic novelist's reader), this promotion is very good.

I know that some authors will subscribe to write stories based on popular novels. This is not really one of them. For the authors, I am particularly pleased that his self-published book that he was able to eventually sell these rights when the publisher picked this book.
