Androcles and Lion are scripts written by George Bernard Shaw in 1912. The play is a show about the story of Androcles, a slave saved by the compassion of the Lion. In the play, the show depicts Androcles as one of the many Christians tortured by the Coliseum. The characters in the play illustrate several themes that took into account modern and virtual early Christianity, including cultural conflict between Jesus teachings and traditional Roman values. Androcles is a Christian Taylor of the fugitive escaping from his Roman persecution, accompanied by a hard-to-treat wife. While hiding in the forest, he met a wild lion who approached him with an injured foot. His wife ran away. Androcles felt the embarrassment of the animals and calmed the lion using the baby's word, as a big thorn was embedded in the foot.
