The image of Octavian has made a big change throughout his life. He began more than Caesar 's son, and he came to win the respect and faith of his country. He manipulates his image in life, becoming the image that people need to believe in the future and time or peace of Rome, not civil war. He avoided the arrogance of his father and supported maintaining the friendship of the Senate, but the result was as strong as the dictator. After the death of Julius Caesar in 44 BC, his adopted child became an outstanding politician.
From 30 BC ~ Octavian received the title of Imperator and was used in Eastern province. The Imperium suggests unlimited power (or force) (two of the ancients explained the past) This is the many titles given to Octavian after defeating Mark Anthony in the battle of Actium in 31 BC. It is the first one. This indicates that the state believes that Octavian deserves respect. - Augustus is more concerned about self-defense than the advances of the Senate, the military and its citizens. He refused absolute power, but it was the ultimate motive. Julius Caesar's fate, Augustus was very aware of the absolute danger of power. So he saw the power scattered as a means of offsetting their potential threats.
Historically, Caesar Augustus is more important than his uncle Julius Caesar. If Octavian won the Roman civil war and Rome was reigned to the emperor Caesar Augustus, the world would not remember Julius Caesar. It only remembers Roman dictator Lucius Cornelius Salla with another victory general. Octavian is a competent politician and military commander, but his real talent is as administrator. He introduced administrative reforms that thrived Pax Romana's trade and arts. By doing so, he seems to have maintained the shape of the Roman Republic while actually creating the Roman Empire. Despite his poor health and personal tragedy, he did this through a hard effort.
