In October the army was found to build Mandenburg (near Staunton, North Dakota) and arrive in the village of the Mandan Indian tribe who spent the winter of 1804-1805. Manders lives on the land along the Missouri River. Their neighbor, Hidatsa lives near the Knife River. The village of Mandan and Hidatsa is the center of the wonderful trade network. His name is Toussaint Charbonneau, the captain wants him to act as an interpreter. They became real
In the autumn, they met Ruy and Clark village in India. This tribe is called today Mitsutankansu. (Public Broadcasting, 2006) Today this is near Walshburn in North Dakota State. Here, they found a thick cotton wood forest to protect the grassy wind. They built a tree house from the tree. These people worked enthusiastically for four weeks and they built a triangular fortification named Fort Mandan. They collected information about future routes over five months. (Lewis & amp; Clark, 2004) They also made forging tools and tools for their blacksmith who can exchange maize and beans with Indians.
Sacagawea and her husband live between Hidatsa and Mandan Indians upstream of the Missouri River (now North Dakota). In November 1804, an expedition team led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark entered this area. Louis and Clark's expedition, often called Discovery Corps, is planning to explore the newly acquired western land and find a route to the Pacific Ocean. The team built Mandenberg and chose to stay there during the winter. Rui and Clark met with Shabono and immediately hired him as an expedition translator. She was pregnant with her first child, but Sacagawea was chosen to accompany them to carry out the work. Lewis and Clark believe that her understanding of Shoshone will help them in their future journey.
