Archeologist Mary Douglas Leakey discovered her fossil for the first time in October. While digging with her husband Rui Leuky in Rusinga Island in Kenya, Mary discovered the chin and skull of a possible human ancestor Proconsul Africanus. Fossils were discovered 18-25 million years ago and are closely related to modern monkeys and apes over modern humans. On December 10, the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Paris. Although it is not legally binding, this document has laid the foundation for fundamental human rights based on subsequent treaties and declarations. It is thought that "Declaration of Universal Declaration of Human Rights" is up to Article 30, and it is response to the atrocities carried out between the Second World War and the Holocaust.
