The Magic of the VA

Bruce McQueen said the problem with Walter Reed proves that VA is not that hot. Ezra Klein remembers:

Walter Reed is a military hospital, not a veteran hospital. These two systems are independent of each other. That is why the issue of Walter Reid led to the resignation of the Minister of Army, not the veteran minister.

Ezra has earned points Army hospitals have all the advantages of single payer defender for VA. They are united. There is no benefit incentive - in fact, doctors make very low payments. They have great incentives for preventive care. They certainly do not provide a motive for profits for bad care. So why is Walter Reed sucking? Who is vulnerable to the system that we obey, not the other malfunctioning government system you dislike?

truly? The majority of troops are injured at home under the age of 30. Does this number of magic alleviate the veterans being attacked in any way? explosion? Did you forget your limbs? Do not worry that Virginia came up with something else for our elderly veteran. On page 50 of this new and improved "policy", physicians are encouraged to ignore the threat of suicide as they force a veteran who gradually reduces or refuses long-term opioid therapy. In this testimonial, you may think that I am only for veterans. It's not. Sadly, members of this committee sold out the American people. They continue spreading erroneous information about counterfeit opioid crisis to deceive President Trump and to play a role in losing his brothers. People must recognize that they do not tell him that less than 1% of patients exposed to legally prescribed opioids will become toxic analgesics.

In 2015 after the Opioid Safety Initiative began at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center, the number of veterans who committed suicide in Washington State has increased to 233 people. As the city adopts policies, the data will continue to rotate; Baltimore, Maryland, Dayton, Ohio, Orlando, Florida. Then in 2016, VA confirmed the data; Dr. DeLuca was correct in the evaluation given to the Senate in 2008: when rejecting all the analgesics of the patient this is a death sentence! Specifically, the report states that in FY 2013, patients taking less than 90 morphine equivalents per day accounted for 85.7% of excess suicide-related deaths. The report continues to report that discontinuance of opioids is not associated with excessive deaths between 2010 and 2011, 2013 to 2014, but WAS is associated with increased suicide mortality. In simple English, the opioid safety initiative has had great success in eliminating VA for the elderly, cancer patients, and people with disabilities.
