In 'secret lion', Alberto Álvaro Rios defined the theme as a boy's innocence loss. The narrator makes the boys alive and he must leave his young view of the girls, Arroyo and his green heaven. All preconceptions were crushed, and every happy moment was removed. Through this, the boy got a prospect and started watching the world with a new consciousness. Rios eliminated the innocent theme through the eyes of a 12 year old boy who showed maturity, autonomy, and disillusionment.

The two short stories I chose to compare and contrast are Alberto Alvaro Rios' secret lion 'and Ira Sher' 'The Well in the Well'. While reading these two short stories, I understood that they differ in several ways, but they have similar features. For example, two short trips are written in first person viewpoint. However, the "secret lion" contains a symbolic meaning and can not find a symbolic meaning in the "well people". - Flan nary O'Connor's short story "A hard person is hard to find" is an unfamiliar criminal in the hands of a notorious criminal known as "rejected" in a short-term vacation to Florida It shows the family you encountered. Since the title suggests that a man in the story is cranky, violent and murderous, death.

"Secret Lion" written by Alberto Rios is a very strange short story with many different symbols. Each symbol emphasizes the change of life at the age of 12 and his friends Sergio telling the story. As the story develops, boys are growing up. This story relates to growth. The main symbol of this story is the river Arroyo. It shows that in their childhood, this place never changes. This is where you can do whatever you want. This is a place to hang out. "But this is full of stories from our river, our private Mississippi River, our friends, from long ago" (43). But as they mature, they understand that their perception of the river has changed. Over time Arroyo was not satisfied with the boys and they decided not to go there. "Nature seems to constantly teach us the same things to us in all places where we end, pushing us to our way" (45)

In Alberto Alvero Rios's "secret lion" these young boys are full of surprises and enchantments to the world. Throughout the story, everything is changing in the lives of these boys. Crushing a ball is a good example of a boy 's life. The boys believe that there is no other good thing on the earth besides polishing the ball. Grinding balls represent the young boys' lives and are perfect. As boys grew their innocence was replaced by the experience of success in life. Crushing a ball is not the only example of a boy 's life. Golf courses are another example of their lives. Before they noticed what they found, they saw the golf course as a fantasy world, an attractive place. When boys appreciate beautiful things in the fantasy world, their lives are changing. When it turned out that the world of fantasy is nothing but a golf course, their lives took a big step towards adults. They found the change; everything is different
