The Long Term Effects of the War in Iraq and Afghanistan

The impact of long-term war is largely influenced by the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, but the number of displaced people in Iraq both in the country and abroad is estimated at 5 million to 5 million (Personnel expenses ,2014). According to the Iraqi human statistics website, 186,000 people died as a result of war violence. Violent intentional killings, human bombs, dozens of malicious groups, and growing concerns plague Iraq (Tillman). Cluster bombs and mines caused deaths of innocent civilians.

Iraq and the United States - The Iraq War that began in the United States in 2003 was part of the terrorist war that led to poverty and caused environmental problems. Although long-term environmental impacts due to war are still unknown, short-term problems related to each environmental module have been identified. For example, using some weapons, such as white phosphorus bullets, can cause serious damage to the environment. People all over the world will protest the application of this weapon. Hygienic damage due to frequent bombing and damage of the sewage treatment system due to blackouts can cause contamination of the Tigris. From 22 nuclear power plants in southern Baghdad, 22 blue plastic containers including uranium were stolen. The radioactive material in the bucket was thrown away in the river and the bucket was washed away. The poor use these containers as a storage facility for water, oil, tomato, or sell it to others.

From the war between Afghanistan and Iraq, several sayings have entered the normal use stage. "Motherland" became the name of the United States. The term "ground zero" has changed from areas destroyed by nuclear attacks to all regions destroyed by global metaphor, the legacy of the World Trade Center, and destruction during wartime.
