The one-year field arrangement where I concentrate is to work with the Korean single lingual elderly at Little Tokyo Service Center. Due to limited resources beyond language barriers, the first generation single language Asian Americans are often left behind. Therefore, due to deprivation of the rights of colored people, homosexual Asian Americans often encounter several obstacles in society. Delgado and Stefancic (2001) talk about the hierarchy of Eurocentric ideology and the value embedded in the United States.
My second year arrangement, Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC), made it possible for me to work with different participants. Also, I have the opportunity to introduce Korean skills. Last year I was planning to participate in the Orange County Asia-Pacific Regional Alliance (OCAPICA), but many participants were unable to maximize my language skills. - As far as I remember, my interest in the field of social work is rising. After thinking, when I noticed that it is strange that I do not know who my father is, it started when I was a child. I began asking my mother about my father. After the pending period she told me that my father insulted her. When I was ten years old, my mother remarried and my personal abuse experience continued.

Little Tokyo started resurrecting in the 1970s. As Japanese companies operate overseas and establish headquarters in Los Angeles, Japanese companies have begun lobbying to expand the reconstruction of narrow areas in Tokyo. In the mid-1980s, the Little Tokyo Service Center Community Development Corporation started to promote regional economic revitalization while working to protect Little Tokyo's history and culture. Also in the 1980s, artists started entering the old warehouse space of downtown and formed an art community next to Little Tokyo. In 1992, the National Museum of Japan opened in the historical Hompa Hongwangi Buddhist temple which helps to fix the historic business district.
