Between 1910 and 1920 thousands of African Americans moved from the south to the north. The problem of slavery in the south and discrimination against blacks was very intense. As a result, they moved north and most of them moved to the Harlem district of New York City. This great immigration is the beginning of the Harlem Renaissance. Langston Hughes is a defender of civil rights. Many of his poems are related to the civil rights bill that was taking place at the time. When you analyze these poems, you can think for yourself. Of course, it is the idea of the poet that produces these style changes, they only focus on those who have written before them. You have to pull yourself out of the thinking process. These poets do not only obey what the great poets in front of us are doing. Rather than thinking about it, they rebuild their style. However, due to these historical changes and the change in this time, they changed the style they wish to write.
