His father, William Carrylight (1825-1904), was a speaker, a music teacher, an occasional lawyer and a patrol minister. William was the head of a school in Richland County, the mother of Light, Anna Lloyd Jones (1838/39 - 1923) met William Carrylight during his tenure as a county school teacher. William Wright was originally from Massachusetts State and was a pastor of Baptist but later joined the monotheistic creed of his wife's family. Anna is a member of the famous Lloyd Jones family who moved from Wales to Spring Green, Wisconsin. One of Anna's brothers is Jenkin Lloyd Jones. It is an important person because monotheistic beliefs spread in the Midwest. Parents of Wright are people with a strong mind with artistic interests and took over them to him.
