Cesar Chavez is a famous labor leader. He helped farmers resolve the problems encountered in the labor force. Chavez led several strikes to help migrant workers get higher wages and start the Labor movement. Chávez also asked for Mexican Americans to register and vote. The actions taken by Chávez attracted attention across the country. With his attitude and courage, he led me to confront other Mexican Americans aloud. Cesar Chavez is a civil rights activist, a former farm worker, and a leader.

Cesar Estrada Chavez was born near Yuma, Arizona on March 31, 1927. Chavez was named after his grandfather who fled the slave of Mexican ranch in the 1880's and arrived in Arizona. Cesar is the second child of a family of six. Chavez started school at the age of seven but he understood that it was difficult because his family can only speak Spanish. Chavez started living as a migrant worker when he was ten years old, when his father lost land during the Great Depression. Chavez learned a lot from his mother. She believes that violence and selfishism are wrong, and teaches these children in these courses. Chavez and his family went to California to pack up their luggage and look for work. In California, the Chavez family has become a member of the migrant community from farm to farm and harvested fruits and vegetables at harvest. They live in many immigrant camps and are often forced to sleep in the car. Chavez often participates in more than 30 elementary schools and often encounters cruel discrimination. When he finished 8th grade Chavez dropped out of school and started full-time work. He also joined the Navy and served his country for seven years.

In 1952, Chavez met Fred Rose, a member of the Community Service Organization (CSO) formed by Sol Alinski. Chavez became a part of the organization and began to encourage him to register and vote for Mexican Americans. Chavez travels through California
