The Life of Artist Tina Modotti

In the late spring of 1926, the National Autonomous University of Mexico made a contract with a friend named Modotti with a book for a book called Mexico Art Deco (known as Anita Brenner). In the 1920 's, Brenner was an indispensable figure in Mexico' s City Modcuti and Bohemian orchestras. She was born in Mexico, a journalist educated in the state of Texas, and returned to Mexico to become a major member of the leftist warts and leftist extremists of the 1920s (Albers SFS 127). She soon hired Edward Weston as the project photographer for the book.

First, Tina Modjoti was expelled from Mexico for the Communist Party. She did not leave, did not show the 4x5 mirror to the famous Mexican photographer Manuel Álvarez Bravo (this is naked in her friend Edward Weston). Another is a World War II photographer, Margaret Burke White, the first woman to throw a bomb in Germany.

Meanwhile, many other American and European artists were fascinated by Mexico. Edward Weston and Italian expatriate Tinamodoti visited Mexico to become a portrait photographer. Art and intellectual communities also include mural painters Diego Rivera and Frida Caro. A symbolic piece is a portrait of Levy of Kahlo who is a collector of the same name, a savvy American, sometimes a photographer. In addition, this exhibition includes many contemporary photographers attracting Mexico, including George Krauss of Philadelphia.
