The Kornilov Affair

This view reflects the government's official version at the time. In this article we will look at how accurate this version of the Kornilov event is. The Cornirov case officially began when L.C. Cornirov ordered a corps in Petrograd to violate the interim order of interim government secretary Alexandre Kerensky on 9th September [1].

The Cornirov case, or the Cornilov coup d'etat, was an attempt by the military coup against Russia by General Russian Army General Commander Lavrkoloniro from August 27 to 30, from September 10 to 13, 1917. The interim government led by Alexandre Kerensky and Petrograd Soviet is represented by soldiers and workers. Due to the wide range of confusion among stakeholders, the exact details and motivation of Kornilov incident have not been confirmed. Therefore, many historians summarized various historical records.

Schools of various ideas surrounding the Cornirov case provided very different interpretations and caused discussions among historians. Mark D. Steinberg introduced inconsistent beliefs and political views in the Kornilov case. He stated that the case was "a picturesque mixture of intrigue and confusion." After this attempt was discontinued, many citizens expressed skepticism about the actual situation between Kornilov and Kerensky. On the left, people who defended Kornilov believe that Kerensky deliberately planned to take control of power, but expressed publicly disapproval to become a messianic messenger. Another aspect Steinberg emphasized was that the right woman believed Kerensky opposed Kornilov. Therefore, the opinion on this incident will further perpetuate the separation between the rightist party and the leftist party.
