From my habitat on the 4th floor of the historic King David Hotel in Jerusalem, overlooking this ancient city where three religions share Abraham. Through the wall 500 years ago built by the Turks who are part of the Ottoman Empire, I overlooked Jaffa Gate, one of the seven entrances to the Old Town. Sandstone walls surrounding the central square of the sacred place still have bullet holes in battle, and these fountains are furious in this unique, spiritual but often violent place. Indeed, after Israel's independence war in 1948, the half-mile between the hotel and the old wall after the ceasefire was unmanned land. Then Jordan occupied the old city until Israel conquered 1967.
Melchizedek is indeed a unique character in the Old Testament. The highest gods long before the priests and the priests were founded and the priests of the kings of Jerusalem were long ago when King David established Jerusalem as the capital of the state (2 Sam 4: 6-7 reference). According to the New Testament, "He has neither father nor mother nor a family tree, neither the beginning of life nor the end of life" (Hebrews 7: 3). His works are also unique. Biblical sacrifices include animals, but he brought them out. Bread and wine, he is trying to congratulate Abraham
