On July 26, 1996, two people were walking along the banks of the Columbia River near Kennewick, Washington State, but did not expect to find the world's oldest intact skeleton ruins. Although the people of Kennewick got a considerable reputation, discussions on the application of the Native American cemetery protection and returning law (NAGPRA) and whether there is physical right to Native American or archaeologists are on the rise. When the human body is found, anthropologist James Chatters studies him and he discovers that "Skulls have different characteristics from contemporary American indigenous people" (Native Americans and archaeologists).

The Kennewickman controversy is one of the most famous federal court cases involving NAGPRA and anthropological studies. This case affects Native American, anthropologist, archaeologist, Congressional member. It has been running for many years and passed through a very rough road, but the Kennewickman incident will be a good example and learning tool for anthropologists today, tomorrow and in the next few years. Kennewick Man is important for a variety of reasons for anthropology and archeology. It may be the most influential example of the complications of the lack of clarity of these laws, how the NAGPRA law affects anthropologists. Kennewickman is part of anthropology and is one of the oldest and most complete human skeletons in North America, and new information on the origin is derived from the shape of the skull.

I am satisfied with the result of a controversial case including Kennewick. I will support scientists and acknowledge the importance of studying the body of the people of Kennewick. Since it proved that Kennewick Man was not from Native American, there seems to be no doubt that it would be removed from the NAGPRA Act. The potential answer to Kennewick's future research is so great that I can wait for the results of these studies. As archeology and anthropology grow more and more technologically every day, science can challenge this and is a great immeasurable triumph that can win such an influential case.

Today, the body of controversial Kennewick people live in the Burke Museum of Washington University, and scientists continue to study ruins. Domination and scientific research showed that the Kennewick strain is more whites than Native American, so we separated his relationship with Native Americans and removed him from the NAGPRA regulation.
