Practice based on proven evidence from nursing research and research allows nurses to quantify and verify the care provided. Evidence-based practices use external confirmation (usually through nursing research) to support clinical decision-making in personalized patient-care services. Journal clubs encourage evidence-based practice and critical thinking by introducing new developments and broader health care perspectives to nurses 11. For discussion by nurses, VJC publishes research-based articles and comments using an online blog format.
