The Joint Commission: National Patient Safety Goals for Medicare Based Long Term Care

They accomplish this by regulating and evaluating healthcare organizations to help improve and provide more effective and safe care (Joint Commission, 2012). Since 1 January 2012, the Joint Committee proposed a new way to improve the care of long-term care facilities based on healthcare and to provide safety rules to follow.
