The history of dialects in the dialect of Jamaica and the development of dialects in sociolinguistics are dialects in which language anthropologists spend a lot of time learning. The actual language, the difference between the language's standard below categories and the actual dialect is often unclear and controversial. Recently, there have been many discussions about Ebonics and Black English in the USA. Certain people think that ebony is only a degradation of English in an unusual format, but others think that should be regarded as an African dialect of African influence.
The culture of Jamaica is influenced by Africa and Britain. Many Jamaican citizens like cricket from the UK. English is the official language of Jamaica. However, many Jamaican people speak dialects in African and English languages. Cuban culture is influenced by the Spanish history. Many Cubans speak Spanish and some speak English. Some people in the Caribbean live with extended families, others live with small families. Many Caribbean people practice Christianity. Others practice their ancestral beliefs in Africa and the Americas. People in the Caribbean may migrate to other parts of North America, such as the United States and Canada.
Many people in Jamaica saw "cuckoo" ("ghost" in the Jamaican dialect). Many people also participated in a religion called Obeah, and people truly believe in the power of the ghost and command spirit. Also, very religious people believe that the soul can still wander. Especially in rural areas, there is such a belief. When I moved to my office in Nagoya University, I was able to feel something in that office. There is a long way to go. I have ever happened to me twice before Jamaica, but I believe that they are more medical than the spirit. When they happened, I thought that I could not move, "Wait, it's over." But when I first told myself, I will not let the Lord I started to recite prayers.
Most people use dialects when the official language of Jamaican people is English (due to British influence) and the local language is called patwa (so-called "patwa"). This dialect is a combination of languages of different residents in history. It was developed by slaves for a period of time, with the aim of communicating with each other, especially considering that they are from different countries and that African people are also from different tribes. The greatest religion in Jamaica is Christian faith. Anglican church, Catholic church, Methodist church, Baptist church, seventh church, and god church are all over the country. Many ancient churches are carefully maintained and / or restored. The rastafari movement is a derivative of a larger Christian culture, but its origin is influenced by the rise of consciousness in Africa and the understanding of political events in the continent.
